As the Brexit deadline nears, many are calling for a second referendum to give the public a final say on Britain’s future relations with the EU.

The programme will present and explore Channel 4’s exclusive Survation poll on the public’s opinion on Brexit’s key issues.

French thriller Killer by the Lake to premiere on Channel 4

Created by Jeanne Le Guillou and Bruno Dega, the series revisits detective Lise (Julie De Bona), whose happy family life is interrupted when two women are discovered dead within two days.

After solving the disappearance of teenage girls by Lac de Sainte-Croix three years previously, Lise has moved 200 miles away to Lac d’Annecy with her husband and son. The family's rural idyll is shattered as Lise is placed as lead detective on the new murder case.

Channel 4 celebrates Apollo 11 anniversary with Moon Landing Live

Channel 4 will air several short films and two documentaries on the small-screen along with digital content to follow online to mark the historical event.

Apollo 11 made history as the first spaceflight that landed astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon in 1969.

The landing was broadcast live with an estimated 600 million viewers as Armstrong made his first famous steps on the lunar surface.

Film-maker Bernadett Tuza-Ritter tells a harrowing story of modern slavery through one woman’s nightmare. Marish is 52, works 12-hour days in a Hungarian factor and has been a domestic slave for ten years.

Consistently abused and forced to live off scraps Marish eventually gathers the courage to plan an escape.

 

Channel 4's Alex Mahon: We have to be fresh, original and anarchic

If Channel 4 was being set up for the first time today, “you would not plonk it in SW1,” observed Alex Mahon, its newish Chief Executive. She explained that she had an advantage coming in fresh to the London-based broadcaster in October 2017, when it needed a deal with government on a new national HQ and dispersing jobs to the regions.

Returning for a brand-new series, Family Cooking Showdown shakes things up with new presenters Celebrity MasterChef 2017 winner Angellica Bell and Michelin-starred chef Tommy Banks.

Competing in the first episode of the new series are the Abimbola-Younges from London, the Stones from Dorset, the Penmans from Lincolnshire and the Whites from Hampshire.

All the families will face challenges that will test their cooking skills, but who will be heading home?

In the aim to fight cancer, the RTS award-winning Stand Up To Cancer resumes tradition with a live-special with stars all across entertainment, sport and music rallying together to raise money for life saving research.

Maya Jama (The Circle), Alan Carr (Chatty Man) and Adam Hills (The Last Leg) will be presenting this year’s live extravaganza, which will be filled to the brim with an array of humorous sketches and tear-jerking awareness shorts.
