Killer by the Lake, the follow up to last year’s hit French thriller Vanished by the Lake, will premiere on All 4’s Walter Presents and Channel 4 next month.
Created by Jeanne Le Guillou and Bruno Dega, the series revisits detective Lise (Julie De Bona), whose happy family life is interrupted when two women are discovered dead within two days.
After solving the disappearance of teenage girls by Lac de Sainte-Croix three years previously, Lise has moved 200 miles away to Lac d’Annecy with her husband and son. The family's rural idyll is shattered as Lise is placed as lead detective on the new murder case.
While she struggles with her mother’s Alzheimer and saving her marriage with Clovis (Larrick Gautry), she must also track the twisted serial killer before anyone else is hurt.
Vanished by the Lake, which was also created by Le Guillou and Dega, had over 6 million viewers in France and international success.
Killer by the Lake will premiere on Channel 4 on the 7th of November and stars Julie Depardieu, Julie de Bona and Larrick Gautry.
The series will be available on All 4’s Walter Presents at the same time.
