Channel 4 has announced the ensemble cast and guest cameos for its upcoming comedy drama, Chivalry.
Written by and starring Steve Coogan and Sarah Solemani, Chivalry will explore the hot topic of gender politics in the #MeToo era in the film and television industries.
Wanda Sykes (Blackish) stars as astute studio executive Jean Shrill, who arranges for indie filmmaker Bobby Sohrabi (Solemani) to take over as director of “A Little Death”, a problematic movie produced by Cameron O’Neill (Coogan).
Cameron is striving to keep his name in lights but the threat of cancel culture looms large.
Also joining is Sienna Miller (The Loudest Voice) as Lark, the powerful lead actress of Cameron’s movie, Lolly Adefope (This Time with Alan Partridge) as Ama, Cameron’s new ambitious assistant, and Robert Lonsdale (Chewing Gum) as Rick, the film editor caught up in Bobby and Cameron’s creative conflict.
Adjani Salmon (Dreaming Whilst Black) stars as Aston, Bobby’s generous husband whose start-up business has just failed. He willingly moves to California primarily in pursuit of her filmmaking career, but also for his own fresh start.
Paul Rudd (Living with Yourself), Peter Mullan (Cursed), and Amy Landecker (Your Honor) are among the famous faces making guest cameos.
