Second series of BBC Three thriller Clique begins filming

The series, which explores the power of friendship between three young, ambitious women, will once again feature Synnove Karlsen as Holly, Sophia Brown as Louise and Rachel Hurd-Wood as Rachel.

Joining the original cast is an ensemble of upcoming British talent including Leo Suter (Victoria, Bad Education), Barney Harris (The Hollow Crown), Imogen King (Darkest Hour), Stuart Campbell (Outlander), Izuka Hoyle (Mary, Queen of Scots).

The show, originally aired on AMC in America and is, in part, based on the true story of two ships, HMS Terror and HMS Erebus, which became trapped in the icy Northwest passage whilst mapping the Arctic coastline in the 19th Century. The series also draws inspiration from Dan Simmons' 2007 best-selling novel of the same name. It combines the real-life drama of being stuck in treacherous conditions with a sinister supernatural element.

Collateral is a high-octane thriller set in contempory London.

The four-part drama follows the repercussions of the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man.

Single-minded Detective Inspector Kip Glaspie (Mulligan – The Great Gatsby, Suffragette) refuses to believe that the event is a random act of violence, and begins the hunt for the hidden meaning of the murder.

Kim Cattrall joins the cast of Swedish crime series Modus

The first season of the Swedish crime series followed psychologist Inger Johanne Vik (Melinda Kinnaman) who, along with her autistic daughter, become involved in an investigation surrounding a series of disturbing deaths.

The psychologist meets detective Ingvar Nymann (Henrik Norlen) and the two team up to uncover clues in the sinister case and find the serial killer committing these brutal crimes.

ITV commissions new political drama from Homeland writer

Fearless is a contemporary thriller about Emma Blunt, a solicitor with a reputation for defending lost causes. Starring Peaky Blinders actor Helen McCrory in the lead role, the show is described as "in the crash zone where law and politics collide.”

"The so-called War on Terror has put serious stress on the ordinary workings of the law. National security justifies all sorts of police and state over-reach – and the great majority of us are prepared to accept this," said Harbinson, who was a soldier before turning his hand to writing TV dramas.

The drama, set in a fictional town in Cheshire, begins with the brutal murder of a female GP in a busy children’s playground.

Detectives working to solve the case are quickly drawn into the twists and turns of a dark mystery, which takes them unexpectedly across Europe.

The trailer hints at a psychopathic suspect, multiple murders and mind games, as well as a complicated love story and family tensions.

Channel 4 commissions first drama series for female writing duo

Channel 4 has commissioned the writers Tracey Malone (Silent Witness) and Kate Ashfield (Line of Duty) for their first drama series as a duo.

The psychological thriller, under working title Born to Kill, will be made by World Productions, and looks into the mind of a teenage boy who suppresses psychopathic desires.
