BBC commissions a new four-part thriller set in Scotland
Filming is set to begin for new BBC modern thriller One Of Us.
The series is written by Harry and Jack Williams, the duo behind gripping drama The Missing.
Set between Edinburgh and The Highlands, the four-part series explores the fragile relationship between the once-close Elliot and Douglas families in the aftermath of two murders.
The stellar line-up includes Juliet Stevenson (The Village, Truly, Madly Deeply), BAFTA winner Georgina Campbell (Murdered By My Boyfriend, The Ark) and Joe Dempsie (Game Of Thrones, Skins).
Stevenson, who plays Louise, said: “I’m thrilled to be playing Louise as she is such an intriguing character. When I read the first script, it immediately gripped me as it’s such a unique and compelling story. I can’t wait to start filming in Scotland”.
Christopher Aird, Head of BBC Drama Production England, added: “One Of Us is a roller-coaster of a story with some amazing characters. We are thrilled to be making this compelling show for BBC One next year”.
The drama is directed by William McGregor (Poldark, Misfits) and produced by Colin Wratten (The Musketeers, Waking The Dead).
