Have you met Miss Jones?

“When I meet someone their first emotion is to shit themselves because they’re like ‘Is she drunk? Is she mental? What is she saying?’ I love that because I can think, right, I am going to prove you wrong!” she says.

Event Report: First Dates Uncovered

First Dates C4

The Twenty Twenty Television production is that rare thing among dating shows – it wants audiences to like, not laugh at its lovelorn participants.

“The programme comes out of the docs department of Channel 4 so it’s not an entertainment programme, although it is entertaining,” said Sayers, who produces the series. “As much as it’s about love, dating and the funny, flirty, sexy things happening in the restaurant, it’s a documentary about people.”

First Dates has this amazing way of tackling big topics and themes,” she added.

Conservation of Big Ben to be revealed in new documentary

Big Ben

This is a three year project undertaken by Channel 4 and ITN Productions, which gives them unprecedented access into the Big Ben refurbishment. The world famous landmark will disappear from view behind scaffolding for the next three years, and will undergo an extensive £29 million refurbishment in its 157 year history.

It will be documented in 3x60 minute programmes, with the first in 2017 to introduce audiences to the current state of Big Ben, as well as the dedicated architects, engineers, clock makers, stonemasons and scaffolders who will repair it.
