Bill Bailey to guide aspiring actors through new BBC bootcamp series

Although known for his stand-up, Bill Bailey has had his fair share of acting roles, from Black Books to Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang. As host of Bring the Drama he will guide the eight contestants through an acting bootcamp like no other.

Kelly Valentine Hendry, casting director of shows such as Ghosts, Broadchurch, and Bridgerton, will be acting as mentor throughout the series, taking the wannabe actors to the sets from popular dramas Peaky Blinders, EastEnders and Silent Witness.

Rizwan seemed to jump on the YouTube wave as the tide was coming in, just as ‘YouTuber’ became a valid career path. The videos are up for anyone to see, on his channel, named MAWAAN. Many of them date back more than 10 years ago and hold enticing titles such as Human Burp-Box or Princess & the Piss. Anyone alive in 2013 will be glad to see Mawaan and his mother Shahnaz Rizwan’s rendition of the Harlem Shake is very much alive, kicking, and boasting nearly 100,000 views - offering a nostalgic view into decade old meme-culture.

Date announced for Sex Education series three

The much-loved comedy series is back once again, following the sexual exploits and general mishaps of the students at Moordale High. 

The second series saw Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve’s (Emma Mackey) illicit sex clinic discovered by Otis’ sex therapist mother Jean (Gillian Anderson).

Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) was caught in a love triangle with new student Rahim (Sami Outalbali) and former school bully Adam (Connor Swindells), who was learning to make peace with his sexuality.

On the day before Netflix released the first series of Sex Education, Jamie Campbell, creative director of the producer, Eleven Film, recommen­ded the series to his friend’s 18-year-old daughter. As a high-school drama about the sexual misadventures of teenagers, Campbell assumed Sex Education would resonate with her. She agreed to call the next day to share her thoughts, but when she did, she said she hadn’t watched it.
