I Kissed a Boy

Secrets of television post-production

Speaking after the RTS Devon and Cornwall “The secrets of finishing” masterclass last month, Sharney Adams, senior colourist and Head of Online at Twofour, said he had tried to “demystify some of the things we do to bring… the raw camera footage to what you see on television”.

Using his work on the BBC Three gay dating show I Kissed a Boy as an example, he highlighted the importance of “working out what the director wants and getting that done in the time and within the budget”.

Pop icon, LGBTQ+ ally and self-proclaimed “fairy-godmother/cupid” Dannii Minogue will return to host the new series, which will see the female contestants journey to Italy to test their chemistry with a kiss.

Minogue will match the contestants herself before they enter the Masseria (an Italian farmhouse), where they will greet each other with a kiss on first meeting, before even having spoken to each other.

This is designed to test their chemistry before they get to know each other on a deeper level.

I Kissed a Boy is aptly named, as all contestants will begin their journey by kissing their new partners upon their first meeting, without even exchanging words.

The 10 participants in the UK's first gay dating show have been paired up by self-proclaimed “fairy-godmother/cupid” and Australian pop icon Dannii Minogue. She says: "When dating fatigue sets in and you are tired of swiping right, or you have not had the opportunity to meet enough potential dates – Mama Minogue is here to help.”
