Fresh Meat writer pens new show for Channel 4

Introducing the commissions, Channel 4’s Head of Drama Piers Wenger promised “a consistent presence of topical, entertaining drama across the schedule.”

Wenger also gave a nod to the production partners on the shows. In a recent interview with Broadcast magazine, he forecasted that next year at least 80% of Channel 4’s peak-time drama output would be co-produced.

RTS Futures Christmas Party

December sees the return of the infamous RTS Futures Christmas Party, and this year we’ve teamed up with Broadcast magazine to celebrate this year’s BAME Hotshots.

This year Broadcast decided to focus on BAME Hotshots to shine a light on the diversity with the industry.  The response was overwhelming.

Olympics Committee to launch digital channel for Rio 2016

It will include stories about the volunteers and athletes, news about the games and background information. And it will be delivered online via Over The Top (OTT) services. 

The IOC President, Thomas Bach, told German media magazine Horizont that he believes in the importance of having appealing content on digital platforms.

RTS Student Awards broadcast on Sky Arts

 

The RTS Student Television Awards nominated films will be broadcast on Sky Arts in the next few months.

The award ceremony was held at BFI Southbank on Friday 5 June and celebrated the very best talent in student production.

Sunday Dinner with the Morgans will be the first shown on air on 17th July.

The rest will be broadcast during August and September and will all be featured on the on-demand collection boxset once broadcast.
