Anna Paquin to star in new drama Flack

The series is set in the competitive and celebrity-driven world of public relations.

Flack follows Robyn (Paquin), a witty American publicity maven living in London, as she tackles the complexities of the digital age where scandals can go viral in an instant.

 “My character exists in a world where there are no moral absolutes and humour is used as a sharply executed defence mechanism to maintain the illusion of perpetual control,” says Paquin

The Crown sets the bar for British drama

Part royal soap, part British political lesson, The Crown is all first-rate drama. To mark the release of its second season on Netflix, a packed RTS pre-Christmas event at the House of Commons heard creator and writer Peter Morgan, executive producer Suzanne Mackie and director Philippa Lowthorpe discuss how they made the award-winning series.

Season 2 of The Crown, produced by UK indie Left Bank Pictures, begins with the Suez crisis in 1956 and ends with the Profumo affair in 1963.

Game of Thrones's Amrita Acharia takes the lead in new medical drama

The show is written by Death in Paradise's Dan Sefton with scripts from Vinay Patel and Nancy Harris and was cast in both the UK and Mumbai.

It tells the story of a cottage hospital that remains a pillar of the local community, despite being dreadfully under-funded and staffed by overworked medics.

Lead actor Acharia played handmaiden Irri in the hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones before being killed off in season 2. 

This is England final instalment returns

The eagerly awaited final chapter of This Is England ’90 will return to screens this Sunday. 

Following on from the critically acclaimed This Is England feature film, the final instalment of Shane Meadows’ award-winning series will be set in the 1990s.

Channel 4’s extension, This Is England ’86 focused on the Mod revival, following with Christmas special This Is England ’88.

Set two years after the troubled '80s era, the new series focuses on the heady scenes of '90s raving era.  

ITV’s big drama: Television speaks to drama boss Steve November

On 18 September 2016, Steve November has a problem. At 9:00pm that night, the slot arrives in ITV’s schedule that would normally be filled by the season premiere of Downton Abbey.

As Director of Drama for the ITV network, November has to find a replacement – Downton is ending, with the last ever episode to air this coming Christmas Day. And, given Downton’s blockbuster ratings performance, it’s going to be a fiendishly difficult act to follow.
