Martin Lewis, David James and Hannah Fry on line-up for Taskmaster’s New Year Treat

The contestants are in individual gold frames, Fry frowning with disapproval and Johnston looking shocked

David James (Richard Osman’s House of Games), the former footballer for England and Liverpool, will be joined by presenter and mathematician Hannah Fry (Have I Got News for You).

Also participating will be Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis (The Martin Lewis Money Show), actor Sue Johnston (The Royle Family) and singer-songwriter Melanie Blatt.

Alex Horne (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) and Greg Davies (The Cleaner) will be on-hand to provide guidance and mockery in equal measure.

Taskmaster reveals the New Year Treat celebrity line up

TV host and Countdown veteran Carol Vorderman, Olympic champion Mo Farah, Radio 1 DJ Greg James, Chicken Shop Date's Amelia Dimoldenberg and singer Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka Self Esteem) will compete in the third New Year's special of the comedy competition series. 

The celebrities will take on a series of obscure tasks to impress the Taskmaster, Greg Davies, and his assistant, Little Alex Horne, to be crowned the New Year Treat's champion and take home this year's trophy: Greg's Golden Eyebrows.

Amelia Dimoldenberg to makeover stars in Celebrity Rebrand

The satirical comedy series will see Channel 4 ask comedian, creator and star of Chicken Shop Date, Amelia Dimoldenberg, to help change the public perception of some of their biggest stars by giving them a total rebrand. 

The six-part series will see the celebrity guests undertake a series of unexpected brand exercises to help them connect to a wider audience, but to the celebrities’ horror, they unfortunately backfire. 

Dave announces five short form comedy shows for their social channels

The five short form shows will offer audiences unique and easily shareable comedy content and introduce upcoming talent. 

The two shorts for Dave’s YouTube channel include Big Zuu’s Wrap Clash, a new fun brand new food competition that will pit Big Zuu against social media stars to create the best wrap.
