Celebrating the contribution of black people in television, comedy, history and wider culture, ITV will broadcast a host of new programmes and will promote the work of Black artists in the channel’s on-air branding throughout the month.

In this one-hour special, Good Morning Britain’s beloved Brummie Alison Hammond will be going on the definitive school trip.

From Hadrian’s Wall to Hampton Court, Alison will travel across Britain to discover a different side to the history that is taught in schools.

ITV confirms UK location for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Due to the pandemic, filming has moved from its usual location in New South Wales, Australia, to North Wales in the UK.

The historic Gwrych Castle, also known as ‘The Showpiece of Wales’, is built into a tree-lined hillside that overlooks the Welsh countryside and the Irish sea.

The grounds spread across 250 acres, providing plenty of space for the celebrities' trials and tribulations.

Noel Clarke to star in new ITV drama series Viewpoint

The voyeuristic drama follows a police surveillance investigation into a small community in Manchester when a primary school teacher goes missing.

When Gemma Hillman (Amy Wren) goes missing, DC Martin King (Clarke) sets up his observation post in the home of Zoe Sterling (Alexandra Roach) within the tight knit community of Westbury Square. The house provides a panoramic view of the square and a direct view into Hillman’s home, which she shares with her boyfriend and the prime suspect in her disappearance, Greg Sullvian (Fehinti Balogun).

The upcoming series, which is due to air next month, was filmed without a studio audience due to Covid-19, with an adapted format to adhere to the government guidelines around social distancing.

The contestants will still have the choice of four lifelines, but the Ask the Audience option will be replaced by another Phone a Friend, alongside the 50:50 and Ask The Host lifelines.

The Masked Singer UK adds Mo Gilligan to panel

Gilligan will be joining Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross in using their power of deduction to guess the face behind the voice, while host Joel Dommett also returns to preside over the proceedings.

Gilligan commented: "It’s a real privilege to be joining The Masked Singer team.

“It’s one of the funniest shows out there and I’m really proud to play my small part to help bring a little bit of joy to the nation.”

Detective drama McDonald & Dodds will return for a second series

Set in Bath, the series stars Tala Gouveia as the ambitious and determined DCI McDonald and Jason Watkins as the humble yet resourceful DS Dodds, with the new series seeing them tackle three new murder mysteries.

DCI McDonald was transferred from the Met Police in London and her fiery spirit is at odds with the modest DS Dodds, who is happy to work away in the background and avoid the spotlight.

Despite having nothing in common, they make an excellent crime-fighting duo and act as the ying to the other person's yang.

ITV announces new celebrity challenge Don’t Rock The Boat

The five-part series will see two crews of six race from Cornwall all the way to the Scottish Isles, completing a series of on-shore challenges along the way to gain advantages over their opposition.

This intense challenge will see the celebrity crews tackle the formidable cliffs of the UK’s stunning coastline and the wild wind and waves at sea.

Taking to the boats will be British politician and author Tom Watson, Olympic gold medallist and sports presenter Denise Lewis OBE, and English supermodel and presenter Jodie Kidd.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here! 2020 to be filmed in the UK

The new contestants will be swapping the Australian jungle for a ruined castle in the British countryside as the series will crown its first-ever King or Queen of the Castle.

However, the celebrities won’t escape the gruelling viewer-voted trials and will partake in fun challenges to win food and treats for the camp.

Ant and Dec will return as hosts and give all the gossip from inside the castle.

Old Trafford to host Soccer Aid for Unicef

Due to lockdown restrictions the match will be played behind closed doors, but the game will be broadcast live on ITV and STV.

As Coronavirus is the biggest global crisis for vulnerable children and families since the Second World War, the two teams, England and Soccer Aid World XI FC, will come together to ‘Play for Generation Covid’.

The money raised helps children to get the best start in life, but this year it will also help stop the spread of coronavirus and limit the impact on their lives through the provision of clean water and lifesaving vaccinations.
