DCI McDonald was transferred from the Met Police in London and her fiery spirit is at odds with the modest DS Dodds, who is happy to work away in the background and avoid the spotlight.

Despite having nothing in common, they make an excellent crime-fighting duo and act as the ying to the other person's yang.

Old Trafford to host Soccer Aid for Unicef

Due to lockdown restrictions the match will be played behind closed doors, but the game will be broadcast live on ITV and STV.

As Coronavirus is the biggest global crisis for vulnerable children and families since the Second World War, the two teams, England and Soccer Aid World XI FC, will come together to ‘Play for Generation Covid’.

The money raised helps children to get the best start in life, but this year it will also help stop the spread of coronavirus and limit the impact on their lives through the provision of clean water and lifesaving vaccinations.

“Do your homework, make sure your CV has no typos in it,” added Tracy Walker, a talent executive at ITV Studios North.

“I love having a nose at what people have done, if I’ve got the time, when someone puts a showreel on their CV,” said Woodcock.

But don’t put your own picture on the CV, said the panel as one.
