Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway returns to ITV

Alongside a wide range of new features, live surprises and wild stunts, the pair will be entertaining viewers with the return of the favourite hidden camera segments: ‘Undercover’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of Me Ear’.

The first episode will see Jamie and Harry Reknapp star in a hilarious ‘Get Out Of Me Ear’ segment and Gary Barlow will perform a stunning ‘End of the Show Show’.

Other celebrities confirmed to take part the series include boxer Anthony Joshua, Davina McCall, and Sir Mo Farah.

Contestants could win a life changing amount of money or go home empty handed, the outcome is decided simply by the bounce of a ball. 

In order to win big, contestants will need to answer a series of questions correctly, but as the money increases, so does the pressure. 

If the pressure gets too much, players can leave early with the prize fund, but they must take one final shot, which will force them to continue playing or allow them to leave with the money. 

Nominations for the RTS Television Journalism Awards 2021 announced

After an unparalleled and challenging year, the BBC leads the way with 23 nominations across the 19 categories including ‘News Channel of the Year’, and ‘Breaking News’ for the coverage of Boris Johnson being rushed to hospital with Covid-19. ITV and Sky News follow garnering 10 nominations each, both including ‘Scoop of the Year’ and ‘Television Journalist of the Year’, for which the nominees are Alex Crawford for Sky News, Clive Myrie for BBC News, and Robert Moore for ITV News.

It was James Graham who reopened the casefiles of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? scandal, adapting his play for a hit three-part drama, Quiz, that recalled the origins of the ground-breaking quiz show and the scandal involving former major Charles Ingram. Ingram was accused of cheating by listening for coughs on the right answers from his wife, Diana, and fellow contestant Tecwen Whittock.

ITV announces the return of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway

Dynamic duo Ant and Dec will return with the promise of giving viewers the “happiest ninety minutes of the week”.

The trailer shows the pair whiz through a series of fun outfit changes, plus the return of host Stephen Mulhern. 

The new series will be filmed in the studio without a live audience in order to adhere to social distancing guidelines. 

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway will air on ITV this February.
