The Wall sees pairs of contestants answer questions that combine knowledge, strategy and luck that can either lead to colossal wins or heart breaking losses.

Legendary broadcaster Angela Rippon will read the questions for the six-part series.

With life-changing prizes on display, contestants won’t just require the correct answers, but also the right bounces and unflinching trust in one another.

The panel show will see Rob Beckett resuming his role as team captain, along with rotating guest captains including Aisling Bea, Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe and Kerry Godliman.

Panellists will compete against each other in guessing the results of numerous public polls and surveys on popular topics.

“I’m really excited that 8 Out of 10 Cats is returning to E4,” said Jimmy Carr.

“What Britain needs now more than ever, is a panel show about surveys and statistics. Well, that and six months’ supply of food and medicine.”

Rochelle and Marvin Humes host new BBC One music quiz show

The show will see three couples every week guessing the song and artists of pop tracks in an effort to win the £10,000 prize.

Each segment will have popular songs from a variety of pop styles, dating from the sixties to the present day.

“This is our first standalone show together and the fact it’s a format based on our love of music makes it all the more rewarding,” commented Rochelle and Marvin on their new roles.

“We frequently put each other’s knowledge to the test at home, so we cannot wait to see how the contestants get on.”

Channel 4 reality show Shipwrecked rescued
