David Beckham talks to Jane Featherstone on stage at the RTS London Convention

Since retiring from football in 2013, David Beckham has proved himself as nimble and canny in business as he once was on the pitch. The style icon arrived onstage at the convention bearing a gift of his own brand of honey, named Sticky Vicky, which he handed to his interviewer, Jane Featherstone.

After gifting Jane Featherstone an exclusive batch of his homemade Sticky Vicky honey, David Beckham discusses the development of his production company Studio 99 with the SISTER Co-Founder and CCO.

Beckham also talks about how he harnesses social media to build his brand, and shares his thoughts on Victoria Beckham’s recent documentary commission.

Taking place on Tuesday 17th September at Kings Place London, David Beckham has joined the line-up of high-profile industry leaders speaking at the event, where he will be in conversation with Co-Founder and CCO of SISTER, Jane Featherstone.

New speakers for the one-day event include:

Joe Lycett to take on David Beckham in Got Your Back special

Joe Lycett vs David Beckham: A Got Your Back Christmas Special will see the comedian ask one of football's global icons to stand up for what they believe in.

The announcement comes after Lycett's latest headline-making protest, in which he called on the former England footballer to renounce his role as an ambassador for the Qatar World Cup.

Sky launch virtual reality app

The first version of the app, available for anyone to download for free, showcases a range of 360 videos from Sky and their partners.

Some transport viewers inside popular films, such as Suicide Squad and The Martian, while others invite viewers behind the scenes of iconic sports events such as Formula One and the Tour De France. A Sky News documentary titled Calais: The Jungle, will take viewers to the centre of the refugee crisis.

Sky has also announced two new virtual reality experiences which will become available via the app in the future.
