Channel 4 relaunches Random Acts with Arts Council England

The short films series, which has not produced any new content since 2014, will begin again this spring. Previous videos featured street magic, spoken word performances, and silent films.

Random Acts is backed by £6million worth of funding from Arts Council England. The money is earmarked for creating several regional centres aimed at promoting young talent across the UK. 

Channel 4 commissions first 'full human body rig'

24 Hours Inside Your Body will follow three volunteers across one day, using the latest forensic filming techniques in what the broadcaster has called the first ‘full human body rig’.

Using video footage and data taken from a supersized ‘fitbit’ worn throughout the day, scientists will track the volunteers’ movements to see how things such as their sleeping position, their diet and their jobs affect their health.

Sean Bean gets Wasted on E4

The show from BAFTA-winning writing duo James Lamont and Jon Foster (Cuckoo), centres around four friends in the West Country who pass their time getting wasted.

Morpheus (Danny Kirrane – Trollied) is a fantasy fanatic who runs a bong shop with his neurotic sister Sarah (Rose Reynolds – The World’s End). He harbours a flame for their quirky mate Alison (Gwyneth Keyworth – Game of Thrones) who runs a tattoo parlour from the back of the shop.

The videos allow never-before-seen access to the homes of Mark-Francis Vandelli and Binky Felstead by using cutting edge technologies to put you right in the heart of the action.

The videos have been created by media company Monkey and, says Managing Director David Granger, “introduce the first ever truly immersive reality experience.”
