The Academy Award-winning director’s (The Shape of Water) new horror anthology series will drop in double-episode batches across four days, starting from 25 October.

Each of the eight episodes spins a sinister standalone story from one of the teams of writers and directors personally chosen by Del Toro.

The trailer offers glimpses of the "whole worlds" they have created, including several of the beautiful, practically-made monsters that have become a Del Toro trademark.

Trollhunters follows the adventures of Jim, voiced by Yelchin (Star Trek Into Darkness), a teenaged boy who discovers an ongoing battle of good and evil trolls deep beneath the streets of his hometown of Arcadia.

X-Men actor Kelsey Grammer plays Blinky, a kind-hearted troll who befriends Yelchin's character, while Perlman takes on the role of Bular, a soldier of the evil troll army. 

There was a time when ITN was simply a news provider struggling to make money. Not any more. Today, the company is highly profitable and is as likely to film a Football League match or produce a feted Lego ad for BT as it is to send Tom Bradby to Brussels to anchor News at Ten. ITN is even developing drama.
