The series which combines reality show and social experiment is back with a brand new Big Brother house, and a new eye logo to match.
Big Brother is returning from a five-year hiatus, and at a new home on ITV2 and ITVX. The new cast of housemates will be able to enjoy the classic tasks, nominations and eliminations that were seen in the original 19 series, however, they will stay in the house for just six weeks instead of 12.
The iconic logo’s rebranding nods to the new contemporary feel ITV wants for the show. The eye is comprised of circles showing hashtags, lips, several eyes, and the words “Big Brother”.
Recently announced hosts, and real-life best friends, AJ Odudu (The Big Interiors Battle) and Will Best (Dance, Dance, Dance) will oversee the weekly evictions. They will also host an additional show discussing the many goings-on within the house. Every move of the new cast of housemates will be shown on ITVX with 24-hour streaming, alongside the episodes airing six nights a week.
Paul Mortimer, ITV’s Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller, says: “This refreshed, contemporary new series of Big Brother will contain all the familiar format points that kept viewers engaged and entertained the first time round, but with a brand-new look and some additional twists that speak to today’s audience.
"We’re beyond excited to bring this iconic series to ITV2 and ITVX where it should especially engage with our younger viewers.”
Big Brother will kick off on ITV2 and ITVX in October 2023.
