Jo Haddock reveals what goes on behind the scenes on Say Yes to the Dress Lancashire

Production has begun on series 3 of the programme, in which fashion expert Gok Wan helps brides find their dream wedding dress. “We’ve got all sorts of [safety] protocols in place,” said Jo Haddock, development executive at programme-makers True North. “We’re hoping to make 10 episodes leading up to Christmas.”

Speaking at the RTS London Christmas Lecture, he predicted that despite the growth of streaming services a lot of people would still be watching live, scheduled TV in a decade.

He said: “In ten years’ time linear TV will be distributed by IPTV, but scheduled TV will still be important, that more passive way of consuming curated content will have a very important role, not least in news and entertainment.”

Love Island star Olivia Buckland to host new wedding show

Former Love Island contestant Oliva Buckland has landed her first presenting role in new TLC series Second Chance Dresses.

The 22-part series will see Olivia – who is engaged to her Love Island co-star Alex Bowen – help brides-to-be track down the perfect dress on the pre-loved market.

In each episode she will travel around the country with a future bride and meet with women who are hoping to give their dress a second chance to shine.
