The series will see British brides-to-be find the dress of their dreams on the pre-loved market.

Former Love Island contestant Oliva Buckland has landed her first presenting role in new TLC series Second Chance Dresses.

The 22-part series will see Olivia – who is engaged to her Love Island co-star Alex Bowen – help brides-to-be track down the perfect dress on the pre-loved market.

In each episode she will travel around the country with a future bride and meet with women who are hoping to give their dress a second chance to shine.

Airing as part of ‘Friday Brideday’, Second Chance Dresses will join TLC’s other wedding shows such as Say Yes To The Dress and Curvy Brides’ Boutique.

Speaking about her new role, Olivia said, “Looking for and finding ‘The One’ has to be the best part of wedding planning, and there’s a whole world of dresses to be found if you look at pre-loved.

“But as I’m finding out, it’s emotional and sometimes stressful choosing the most special dress you will ever wear, and in this show there is the added pressure; how do you tell someone in their own home that their dream dress is not for you?”

She added, “I can’t wait to help my brides and hear the stories behind the seller’s dresses.  I’m sure there will be lots of tears and drama - and that will just be from me, if I want one of their dresses!”

Clare Laycock, Head of TLC, Quest Red & Investigation Discovery at Discovery Networks UK & Ireland, said: “The second-hand bridal market is fast growing amongst savvy shoppers looking for gorgeous dresses, shoes and accessories. Second Chance Dresses taps into this trend to uncover heartfelt and uplifting stories, and help brides-to-be find their dream dress.”

The series will air Autumn 2018 on TLC.
