Based on the series of novels by George R.R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire, the show’s previous series saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) seek an alliance with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to prepare for the arrival of the Night King.

The new trailer sees a line of characters, including Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) preparing for war in Winterfell, as a smug Cersei remains safe in the Red Keep.

Teachers Training to Kill

Monday: Channel 4, 9.00pm

Teachers Training to Kill is a one-off documentary that explores gun control in America and the disturbing amount of mass shootings taking place in US schools.

The documentary follows a group of teachers from Faster, a controversial summer school where teachers are trained to operate guns and potentially shoot to kill.

A Year of British Murder

Monday: Channel 4, 9.00pm

Filmed over one year, A Year of British Murder is a harrowing documentary that addresses the hundreds of people killed in Britain during 2017.

The programme follows the grieving families of selected cases, including the parents of 15-year-old Quamari Barnes who was stabbed to death just outside his school in London; his killer was the same age.

Details of Fortitude's final season revealed

The drama follows two police officers who are sent to Fortitude, a fictional settlement in Arctic Norway, to help its citizens fight off dark and supernatural forces.

Richard Dormer returns as Sheriff Dan Anderson, who still suffers the effects of parasitic wasps from series one.

Anderson (Dormer) struggles to retain his emotional personality and his grip on reality.

Following on from series two, citizens of Fortitude rally around to protect both the town and Anderson from an outside investigation into the lynching of governor Erling Munk.

Twenty-four local writers attended a writer’s workshop with Fortitude creator/writer Simon Donald; executive producer and managing director of Fifty Fathoms Patrick Spence; and script producer Ben Stoll.

After discussing how the project moved from idea to script to screen, the execs each hosted a round table with the writers to answer questions, and provide insights and career advice.

A Woman Captured: Storyville

Film-maker Bernadett Tuza-Ritter tells a harrowing story of modern slavery through one woman’s nightmare. Marish is 52, works 12-hour days in a Hungarian factor and has been a domestic slave for ten years.

Consistently abused and forced to live off scraps Marish eventually gathers the courage to plan an escape.
