Joe Lycett

Joe Lycett to present UK’s largest ever live life drawing masterclass for BBC Two

Following the success of the programmes in 2020, with 30,000 viewers sending in their artworks from home, this new two-hour special will be broadcast live across BBC Two and BBC Four from English Heritage’s Wrest Park in Bedfordshire.

Life models will disrobe and assume poses inspired by great works of art for the amateur artists on set, and those at home, to draw.

The extraordinary Joe Lycett

Warm, witty and occasionally waspish, Joe Lycett is just the man to keep us entertained during lockdown. It’s fortunate, then, that he is presenting two lengthy prime-time TV series, with another on the way. And after a whirlwind few months making them, Lycett – while mindful of the suffering that Covid-19 has brought many – concludes that the new normal has been beneficial to his mental health.

Grayson’s Art Club will take viewers on an artistic journey to help ease the boredom of lockdown.

Each episode will have a theme and the series will include tips on how to take that first step into the art world, offer creative inspiration and show viewers how to have fun and create an artistic mess.

For each theme, Grayson will ask viewers to send in their creations, along with celebrity guests who will also be making their own artwork, with surprising results.

The new eight-part series will see Lycett once again battle both national business and solo rogues to seek justice for wronged consumers.

Lycett and his consumer sidekick and ‘technical assistant’ Mark Silcox will tackle everything from cowboy builders to email scammers.

The first series saw Lycett take on giants such as Britannia Hotels and easyJet, and managed to change the policies of Uber Eats, SpareRoom and RBS.

Everyday customer service heroes were celebrated and people got thousands of pounds back.

Joe Lycett to become new Travel Man

After exploring over 40 cities across nine series, Richard Ayoade (The Crystal Maze) will pass the baton to Joe Lycett as presenter of Travel Man: 48 hours in... next year.

The series sees Ayoade explore some of the world’s most popular holiday destinations for 48 hours, each journey with a different famous companion to join him on his trip.
