Richard Ayoade, David Mitchell and Tom Allen are among the talent making their debuts for the channel.

In Outsiders, David Mitchell will challenge three pairs of comedians across six episodes to a series of outdoor challenges.

Ed Gamble, Jamali Maddix, Jessica Knappett, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders and Toussaint Douglass will take part in the first series.

Mitchell said: “Civilisation is clearly crumbling so it’s high time we worked out whether we can cope without it.

After exploring over 40 cities across nine series, Richard Ayoade (The Crystal Maze) will pass the baton to Joe Lycett as presenter of Travel Man: 48 hours in... next year.

The series sees Ayoade explore some of the world’s most popular holiday destinations for 48 hours, each journey with a different famous companion to join him on his trip.

A new image released by the broadcaster shows Ayoade taking centre stage in front of the all-new Crystal Dome. He was announced as new host at the beginning of the year taking on the role of the Maze Master.

The new series will see teams of five contestants navigate the Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Future zones of the maze.

They will face a range of skill, mystery, physical and mental challenges to win crystals that equal to time in the the Crystal Dome.
