Based on the novel by William Landay, the series was created and written by Mark Bomback.

The series is set in small Massachusetts town, and focuses on assistant district attorney Andy Barber (Chris Evans), whose life is thrown into disarray when his 14-year-old son Jacob (Jaeden Martell) is accused of murdering another child from his class.

The crime has consequences for the whole town and witnesses who claim Jacob did it say he looked “smug and remorseless”.

The findings have been released following the BBC’s disclosure of the wages of on-screen talent paid more than £150,000 annually. The BBC revealed 96 earners who fall into the bracket, including Chris Evans, Gary Lineker, Claudia Winkleman and John Humphreys, however it has been criticised by many for the size of some of the biggest stars’ wage packets.

I am meeting Rory in the upstairs bar of a pub just around the corner from the BBC in central London.

Netflix announces new Top Gear deal

The SVOD platform already shows older series of BBC Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson.

The details of the deal remain vague, however Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos told Buzzfeed News that the show will “fall under the same deals” of international distribution as the existing Top Gear, adding that the deal will be “multi-territory for sure.”

David Coulthard to present Channel 4's Formula 1 coverage

The broadcaster has awarded the contract to experienced independent sports production company, Whisper Films, which was founded in 2010 by Coulthard, BT Sport and former BBC F1 presenter Jake Humphrey and former BBC F1 producer Sunil Patekl.

This announcement follows the news last month that Channel 4 would become the terrestrial TV home of Formula 1 from 2016-2018.
