Sky Documentaries commissions European Super League documentary

Produced by Fulwell 73 (Sunderland ‘Til I Die), the feature-length documentary will chart the rapid rise and fall of the European Super League (ESL), one of the most extraordinary sagas in recent footballing history.  

The film will offer an exclusive inside look at the events and decisions that saw 12 founding member teams from the English Premier League, Spain’s La Liga and Italy’s Serie A propose a new annual international competition, and the 72-hour period between the announcement and its swift collapse.

BT announces live UEFA Champions League coverage in virtual reality

BT has revealed plans to broadcast the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals for free on YouTube, the BT website, BT Sport channels and the BT app for 2017.

The UEFA Champions League final will be broadcast for the first time in 4K UHD with Dolby Atmos on BT Sport and 4K UHD on YouTube, with multiple 360 degree streams on Youtube and the new BT Sport VR App, which allows viewers to choose their own camera viewpoint as well as commentary and graphics.

BBC announces Euro 2016 coverage

Between 10 June and 10 July, the broadcaster aims to cover 140 hours of football news during the European Championship, as well as providing extensive material over all their media channels. 

Former England captains Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand will present the cup's matches alongside France's Thierry Henry. Fan-favourite Gary Lineker takes the lead on all television reports, and will appear on digital coverage as well.

Where to watch the football this season

 

The 2015/2016-football season has started and there are four television stations for fans to watch it on.

Sky Sports has spent a total of £4.17bn on their premier league coverage.

While they used to co-broadcast the Champions League and EUROPA matches, the 351 live games will now be shown on BT Sport Europe.

 

Sky Sports

They are broadcasting seven leagues such as Spain’s La Liga.

For Scottish football fans the channel will show 25 matches from the Scottish Premier League (SPL) and five Rangers games.
