Extensive use of accents means the versatility of the actor’s work is obvious even if you watched it blindfolded. She is French-Canadian in The Serpent, cockney in The Sandman, Geordie in this year’s action thriller movie Jackdaw and Welsh in revenge tale Wilderness.

Last month, the RTS brought together the writer and stars of Amazon Prime’s guilty pleasure Wilderness, which features a dazzling performance by Jenna Coleman as a woman scorned.

Coleman is Liv, whose cad of a husband, Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), has an affair with Cara (Ashley Benson). Liv eschews marriage guidance and decides to bump off Will on an epic road trip across the US, during which Cara and new boyfriend Garth (Eric Balfour) pitch up. All the elements are in place for a rollercoaster of a revenge thriller.

The female led and created series follows Liv (Coleman), whose world is turned upside down when she discovers her husband Will, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Haunting of Hill House), has been having an affair. Liv’s heartbreak is swiftly followed by rage, and the trailer shows her smashing a wine glass at a romantic dinner before ripping framed photos off the walls of their home.

Pretty Little Liars’ Ashley Benson is teased as the other woman, as she is seen walking alone with Will in one clip, and the object of Liv’s troubled glare in another.
