In order to host the event responsibly, as well as continuing to celebrate the nominees’ achievements, a slimmed down, intimate presentation of the awards be live-streamed.
Nominees and RTS representatives will now be invited to the event with the broader industry able to watch via a live link.
The list of nominees was announced this morning by BBC journalist, writer and broadcaster Samira Ahmed at h Club in London’s vibrant Covent Garden.
The winners were revealed by writer and comedian Paul Merton and were streamed live to nominees and viewers at home, via the RTS website.
In March 2018, CBeebies pulled off a spectacular staging of The Tempest, a pacy version that preserved all the best “O brave new world” lines, while gripping its audience of under-sevens.
Journalist Charlene White announced the list of nominees for the awards at an event held at the h Club in London.
