Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah are back for a third summer of crossed wires and love triangles.

Based off author Jenny Han’s (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) trilogy of the same name, The Summer I Turned Pretty stars Lola Tung in her screen debut as Belly Conklin, a girl who can’t make her mind up between two brothers.

Every year Belly spends the summer at her mum’s childhood best friend’s beach house, with brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney, Dalíland) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno, The Vampire Diaries). Belly has fancied Conrad for as long as she can remember, but it’s only the summer she turns 16 that he finally starts paying attention to her, by which time she’s grown closer to his brother, Jeremiah.

In the third series, Belly has been dating Jeremiah for a while, whilst Conrad is still grappling with the fact he let her go. Whilst it’s unclear whether the series will follow the exact plot of Han’s third novel, it seems clear Belly will be forced to make a definite decision and break one of the boys’ hearts or move on from them altogether.

Although The Summer I Turned Pretty was commissioned for series three in the summer of 2023, the SAG-AFTRA strikes postponed the start of writing and filming.

Series three of The Summer I Turned Pretty will be released in 2025 on Amazon Prime.
