Who is on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! 2022?

After a two-year hiatus from Australia, the series is returning home and a new group of celebrities will be leaving their lives of luxury behind to spend three weeks in the Australian jungle. 

Iconic presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will return to co-host and watch the celebrities battle it out to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle.

Here is the celebrity line-up for this year:

There will also be a new brand campaign and curated collections on ITV Hub and BritBox.

Commissioning Editor Satmohan Panesar said: “Building on last year's celebrations, Black History Month returns to ITV this October.

“Featuring a range of engaging documentaries from some of our highest profile talent; through their personal stories, the films will explore what it means to be black in Britain today.”

The wonderful thing about juggling a tonne of jobs is that every day really is different. My week can swing between discussing a £3,000 Balenciaga coat that looks like a high-vis jacket on Loose Women to explaining the latest Covid infection rates on ITV News. Or travelling across the UK working on my latest long-form programme.  

Many hats, many pies but – as my school form teacher would probably still agree – me keeping busy is the best way to stay out of trouble!

ITV's Carolyn McCall: Flying the flag for PSB

Carolyn McCall offered a robust defence of public service broadcasting during the course of a revealing and wide-ranging interview at the RTS Digital Convention 2020. ITV’s CEO – who was probed by ITV News London and Loose Women presenter Charlene White – also discussed the Black Lives Matter movement, BritBox, ITV’s digital strategy and its response to the corona­virus epidemic.

McCall said that the first Covid-19 lockdown had “brought home to a lot of people” the importance of having “a trusted [TV] source, [with no] disinformation”.

The Chief Executive of ITV said that the coronavirus epidemic had “brought home to a lot of people” the importance of having “a trusted [TV] source, [with no] disinformation”. 

But she warned: “A lot of the stuff that goes on air would not be made if it wasn’t for the fact that there are public service broadcasters.”

McCall called for public service broadcasting, which is currently being reviewed by both media regulator Ofcom and the DCMS committee, to be treated fairly.

ITV announces specially commissioned shows for Black History Month

Celebrating the contribution of black people in television, comedy, history and wider culture, ITV will broadcast a host of new programmes and will promote the work of Black artists in the channel’s on-air branding throughout the month.
