Taskmaster reveals the series 13 line-up

Five new comedians will enter the Taskmaster house in an attempt to impress while doing the most ridiculous and crafty tasks on TV.

Created by Alex Horne, Horne often finds himself in the shadow of the overlord and Taskmaster himself Greg Davies. 

Series 13 contestants include stand-up, actor and author Ardal O’Hanlon, comedian Bridget Christie, stand-up comedian and TV host Chris Ramsey, comedian and presenter Judi Love and comedian, actress and podcaster Sophie Duker.

Taskmaster announces the series 12 line up

The 12th series of the chaotic comedy game show will see five more celebs face Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant “little” Alex Horne. 

This series will follow Alan Davies, Desiree Burch, Guz Khan, Morgana Robinson and Victoria Coren Mitchell as they attempt to master the absurd and unique tasks set for them. 

Davies is a stand-up, writer and actor best known for his role in crime drama Jonathan Creek and comedy quiz show QI

Fellow stand-up and writer Burch has appeared on Live At The Apollo and various UK panel shows.

Taskmaster announces the line-up for series 11

Series 11 will once again see comedic minds put together all their skills and wit to master the absurd and wacky tasks presented to them, in the hope that they will be crowned Taskmaster champion. 

Greg Davies will preside from his throne determining the scores given to the comedians, joined by his sidekick and show creator Alex Horne.

The hard-driving Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne will be welcoming five famous faces from across the varied spectrum of news and entertainment to compete against each other in ludicrous challenges.

Channel 4 news anchor Krishnan Guru-Murphy will be battling against Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, television presenter Rylan Clark-Neal, superstar dancer and Strictly judge Shirley Ballas and acclaimed film actor John Hannah (Four Weddings and a Funeral) to win the coveted Taskmaster trophy.

Taskmaster has returned to our screens on its new home, Channel 4, bringing some much-needed joy to Thursday evenings, with a new companion, Taskmaster: The Podcast.

Hosted by series nine Taskmaster champion Ed Gamble, the weekly podcast welcomes past and present contestants to unpack the most recent programme and relive some iconic Taskmaster moments.

Date set for the return of Taskmaster

The tenth series will air on 15 October on Channel 4, its new home having been acquired from Dave.

The line-up of comedian contestants was announced earlier this year, including Daisy May Cooper (This Country), Johnny Vegas (Benidorm), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd), Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring (RHLSTP with Richard Herring).

Alex Horne created Taskmaster for a live show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012, before it was picked up by Dave who ran it for nine series. It has since been exported to seven countries.
