Fellow stand-up and writer Burch has appeared on Live At The Apollo and various UK panel shows.

This year’s famous cohort of willing amateur bakers features comedians, singers, sports personalities and politicians.

One face that you will not be seeing however, is regular host Sue Perkins who is leaving her long-time performing partner Mel Giedroyc to host it alone for one episode.

Comedians Ed Byrne, Jennifer  Saunders and Sarah Millican will also each take a turn at helm.

Morgana Robinson brings new impressions show to BBC Two

Impressions of Fame will take a comic look at the lives of celebrities on and off the screen, as Robinson couples new impressions of Joanna Lumley, Gregg Walace and Miranda Hart, along with the acts she has become known for such as Eastenders actors Danny Dyer and Natalie Cassidy.

Robinson, who previously demonstrated her skills in Channel 4's The Morgana Show, will be joined by ‘big name’ actors, comedians and guest stars who will play the friends and colleagues of celebrities.

Is the impressions show dead?

"How many impressionists do we see on TV these days? Hardly any... You find some on the cruise ships entertaining the 'blue rinse brigade.'" That is the damning view of Comedy Store founder Don Ward, who says he "can't stand" impressionists.

A decade ago, the impressions genre was in rude health. From political satire on Dead Ringers, to celebrity caricatures on Bo' Selecta!, there was an impressions show to suit almost every taste.
