Vigil series two takes to the skies as new cast enlisted

Whereas the first series saw the duo investigate the death of a crew member on board a Royal Navy submarine, the second six-parter will see them take on the British air force.

Following a number of unexplained fatalities at a Scottish military facility, DCI Silva and DI Longacre set out to reveal the cause. But standing in their way are the hostile and closed ranks of the air force.

Based on the novel of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger, The Time Traveler’s Wife has been adapted into a six-part series by Steven Moffat.

The magical, time-bending love story is between Clare (Rose Leslie) and Henry (Theo James), traversing decades. 

Clare is fiery, clever and has had a secret imaginary friend called Henry since she was six years old. Over the years, Henry’s visits are dazzling adventures that break up the tedium of her childhood.

The six-part series stars Suranne Jones (Gentleman Jack), Rose Leslie (Downtown Abbey), Shaun Evans (Endeavour), Martin Compston (Line of Duty) and Paterson Joseph (Peep Show).

Jones and Leslie star as DCI Amy Silva and DS Kirsten Longacre, who lead an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on-board the HMS Vigil submarine.
