Bad Sisters

Sharon Horgan’s hilarious murder-mystery series is returning to Apple TV next month, and will rejoin the tight-knit Garvey sisters two years after the “accidental death” of “the prick”, aka Grace’s (Anne-Marie Duff) husband John Paul (a menacing Claes Bang). Spoilers for series one incoming.

It is notoriously cold—James Joyce immortalised the patch of Irish Sea as "scrotumtightening" in Ulysses—and Horgan wasn't a wild swimmer at the time, but she managed to brave a dip.

The creative jolt came, however, when she noticed a group of women somehow holding their weekly catch up in the breathtakingly cold water. "I thought, 'that's where the girls will feel safe enough to talk about their murder plans'."

A mysterious app begins to play with the minds of a group of teenage friends during the summer after their GCSEs.

The horror series follows the teens, who are trying to navigate the highs and lows of teenage life, when a sinister new app known as Red Rose infiltrates their lives. 

The app releases a dark supernatural entity that threatens their lives if they don’t meet its every demand.
