This week in TV Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, balances being a lawyer with being a superpowered hulk, a group of teenagers try to survive a deadly app and Sharon Horgan's new comedy shows the power of sisterhood. 

Red Rose 

Monday 

BBC Three, 10pm 

A mysterious app begins to play with the minds of a group of teenage friends during the summer after their GCSEs.

The horror series follows the teens, who are trying to navigate the highs and lows of teenage life, when a sinister new app known as Red Rose infiltrates their lives. 

The app releases a dark supernatural entity that threatens their lives if they don’t meet its every demand. 

The series explores the terrifying power of the dark web and the addictive nature of being online.

Britain’s Secret War Babies 

Wednesday

The documentary follows presenter Sean Fletcher as he attempts to uncover the truth surrounding the births of Mary and John, who were born to African American GIs and British women.

Between 1942 and 1946, 2000 children were born under similar circumstances increasing the black population in the UK by almost 30%.

Mary and John grew up without their fathers and were raised in a majority white rural area and know little about their black heritage.

Fletcher helps the pair embark on a journey to find a sense of belonging and identity, with DNA and genealogical research uncovering long-buried secrets.

A League of Their Own

The sports-based panel show is back with new team captain Micah Richards. Richards will replace Freddie Flintoff, who has left the show after 12 years.

Romesh Ranganathan will be returning as the show’s host and Jamie Redknapp will return as team captain. 

Big names in the world of sport, comedy and television will feature on the show, with plenty of new challenges and stunts planned. 

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), aka She-Hulk, is the less famous cousin of Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), aka the Hulk.

Compared to Bruce, when Walters turns into the She-Hulk she is still able to remain in control and can shift between her two identities at will. 

Walters is a successful and formidable lawyer who uses her skills to defend superheroes’ rights.

She has no desire to use her powers to save the world and would rather be in the courtroom, but that all changes when her arch enemy Titania (Jameela Jamil) arrives in town. 

Bad Sisters 

Friday 

Apple TV

A mix of dark comedy and thriller, Bad Sisters follows the five Garvey sisters played by Sharon Horgan, Anne Marie-Duff, Eve Hewson, Sarah Greene, and Eva Birthistle.

The sisters share a strong bond due to the premature loss of their parents and have promised to always protect each other no matter what.

When the unexpected death of an in-law occurs, suspicions are raised due to the sisters each having personal reasons for wanting him dead. 

Insurance broker Thomas, played by Brian Gleeson, is unwilling to pay out the huge life insurance policy the death triggered and instead decides to investigate the Garvey sisters. 

But was it a lucky coincidence or did the Garvey sisters really commit murder?
