Sky Original series There’s Something About Movies and A League of Their Own are set to begin filming this month.

The third season of There’s Something About Movies will see comedian Alan Carr return as host, with Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) and Michael Sheen (Quiz) returning as team captains and Tom Allen re-uniting with the crew.

Packed full of movie trivia, insider film insights and infamous re-enactments, this series will also feature the show’s first ever Christmas special.

Alan Carr said: “Not only am I really excited to be able to leave the house but also I am buzzing to get started on series three of There’s Something About Movies, boy have I missed mucking around with Tom Allen, Jennifer Saunders and Michael Sheen and although going to the cinema seems like a distant memory, we will be doing our best to recreate some of the movie magic that we’ve all been missing this summer. Bring it on!”

Also resuming filming for its 15th series will be Sky stalwart A League of Their Own, with Jamie Redknapp, Freddie Flintoff and Romesh Ranganathan all eager to get back in the studio.

Ranganathan commented: “Despite the challenging circumstances, we are going to do our utmost to make League of their Own as good as it always is, and I can say that with confidence because other people have to sort all that out and it requires no extra work from me”.

As with many entertainment shows in lockdown, both series will film without a live audience for the first time.

A League of Their Own and There’s Something About Movies will air on Sky later this year.
