Sky has exclusively acquired the third and fourth series of showbiz comedy Hacks in the UK. The channel will launch both seasons – alongside the first two – later in 2025.

Hacks follows the unlikely partnership between two comedians, one on the way up and the other on the way down. Deborah Vance (Jean Smart, Mare of Easttown) is a once-legendary stand-up comedian now struggling to keep hold of her Vegas residency. Enter Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), a young comedy writer who could help revitalise Vance’s act. Daniels isn’t thrilled about working with a – to use her words – “classist monster”, but work elsewhere has dried up.

What starts as a begrudging, difficult partnership soon blossoms into a… slightly less begrudging, difficult partnership. Hey, this is showbusiness. Throughout the show, the two trade insults, but neither mind that much, as long as the barbs are well-written.

Series three of Hacks will launch on Sky and NOW on 7 February, with series four to follow later in the year.
