Walter Presents' new multi-award winning Icelandic thriller Case is to premiere on Channel 4 this month.
From director Baldvin Zophoniasson (Trapped), comes hit thriller Case, which tells the story of deep-rooted abuse and corruption within Reykjavik.
It all begins with the discovery of a young ballerina found hanged on the main stage at the National Theatre. The incident is deemed a suicide, but three determined individuals believe there is another story to be told and not everything is what it seems.
On a mission to uncover the truth of what really happened, their paths will cross as their investigations uncover crimes worse than murder.
Logi, a washed-up lawyer; Gabriella a tough police officer; and Brynhildur, Logi’s one remaining friend and a high-flying lawyer, launch their own investigations as they peel back the facade of idyllic middle-class life to reveal a cesspool of corruption, abuse and manipulation.
Ahead of its release, Case was named alongside Channel 4 hit Catastrophe as one of the must-see foreign shows of 2017.
The first episode of Case will premiere on Tuesday 24th of January on Channel 4 at 10pm, marking the first time an Icelandic drama has aired on terrestrial UK television. Following the launch, the entire series will be available on walterpresents.com.
