Apple TV+ has confirmed the release date of the third series of feelgood football comedy Ted Lasso.
Apple also posted the first image from the series, which sees Ted (Jason Sudeikis) face off with Nate (Nick Mohammed) at West Ham, the club owned by AFC Richmond's owner Rebecca Welton's (Hannah Waddingham) vindictive ex-husband Rupert (Anthony Head), who watches on in the background. It's captioned: "Time to win the whole f***ing thing."
The tense meeting looks to follow on from the events of series two's finale, which saw a frustrated Nate shock fans by switching allegiances from Richmond to West Ham.
Nate felt under-appreciated by Ted, which sparked a huge row, before Nate stormed off to join their biggest rivals.
Most of the cast will return for the new series, including Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard and Juno Temple as Keeley Jones. But a couple of new additions have been confirmed: Becky Ann Baker (The Resort) will play Ted's mother, and Jodi Balfour (The Crown) will join as Jack, a charming venture capitalist.
Star and writer Brett Goldstein told The Sunday Times last year that they had originally planned the series to be three series long. But Apple are yet to confirm if this will be its last.
Ted Lasso series three will start in Spring 2023.
