Big Mood, the sitcom starring Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton) and Lydia West (It’s A Sin), will return for a second series, Channel 4 has confirmed.
In series two, it will have been a year since Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West) last spoke. Eddie has since befriended spiritual healer Whitney, and become much more mature. This is, of course, terrible news for Maggie. Are the two still compatible? Or will their friendship be lost forever?
“Deeply grateful to everyone who loves our mad, funny, sad show,” said Nicola Coughlan. “It’s been one of the greatest joys of my life making it, and I’m beyond delighted that we get to come back and tell the next chapter of Maggie and Eddie’s story. Rats at the ready.”
“So excited to reunite with my besties and work on series two!” said Lydia West. “I can’t wait to see the scripts and get back to the world of Eggie!”
“I had no plan B and zero transferable skills so I am overjoyed to be bringing Big Mood back for another round! Discovering that there are actually loads of weirdos who like the same weirdo stuff as me has been a real privilege,” said creator and writer Camilla Whitehill. “My ongoing blackmail campaign against Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West continues in earnest. They’ll never escape me.”
Broadcast details for series two of Big Mood will be announced in due time.
