Death in Paradise will return for a 14th series, the BBC has confirmed.
In Saint Marie, there’s a new sheriff in town, or rather, Detective Inspector. Mervin Wilson (Don Gilet, 55 Degrees North) made his first appearance in the 2024 Death in Paradise Christmas special, and his time on the island didn’t get off to the best start. Still reeling from the death of his estranged mum, Mervin is about ready to pack up his bags. That is, until a case lands on his desk that hits close to home for everyone in the station.
The series will include a large roster of guest stars, including Michelle Greenidge (Kaos), Stephen Odubola (Boiling Point) and Anthony J. Abraham (The Acolyte). Adam James (The Day of The Jackal), David Avery (Gangs of London) and Sofia Oxenham (Extraordinary) will also be making appearances.
Other guest stars include Patricia Allison (Sex Education), David Mumeni (Bridgerton), Chantelle Alle (Hijack), Rita Bernard-Shaw (The Power) and Bobby Gordon (Three Little Birds). Charlotte Spencer (The Gold), Tala Gouveia (McDonald & Dodds), Gerard Horan (Detectorists) and Lily Nichol (Renegade Nell) will also be amongst those appearing in the latest series.
Death in Paradise will return to BBC One at 9.00pm on Friday 31 January, when it will also be made available on iPlayer.
