Joe Lycett takes over from Richard Ayoade as Channel 4’s Travel Man-in-chief, with fellow comic James Acaster joining him for the first weekend away in the Spanish sector of the Basque Country.
The drama will see prolific stage and screen writer Abi Morgan OBE (Suffragette) make her directorial debut, after writing all three series of the show.
Set within London’s fast paced and cutthroat high-end divorce industry, the series explores the highs and lows of marriage and the legacy and complications of divorce.
From writer Abi Morgan, The Split is set in the world of London’s high end divorce circuit, examining the realities of marriage and the long reaching consequences of divorce.
The Split focuses on the complicated lives of the Defoe sisters, dependable Hannah (Nicola Walker), hedonistic Nina (Annabel Scholey) and free-spirited Rose (Fiona Button), and their tough mother Ruth (Deborah Findlay).
