This year the brightest and best have submitted their work for consideration for an RTS trophy in five categories: Animation, Drama, Factual Short Form, Factual Long Form and Comedy and Entertainment Drama.

ANATOMY OF A TV DRAMA | NORTHERN LIGHTS
The Gay Byrne Memorial Lecture: Public Service Broadcasting. What it is, what it is for, and what is its future?
This will be the first in an annual lecture series, named to honour the momory of the late,great and beloved broadcaster Gay Byrne, whose anniversary is on the 4th of November.
The Keynote speaker will be Moya Doherty, former chair of our national broadcaster RTÉ, and the moderator will be Pat Kenny, the well-known broadcaster and journalist now of Newstalk, and who had succeeded Gay as host of the longest running chat show in the world, the Late Late Show.
REELING IN THE YEARS - TV Moments, Music & Memories
The series began in 1962, the first year of Telefís Éireann, and runs to 2019, with six seasons so far. Each half-hour programme combines the pop music soundtrack of a given year with some of the moments and memories in news, current affairs, sport and entertainment.
