We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural Gay Byrne Memorial Lecture, to be held in The Light House Cinema on the 2nd of November.

This will be the first in an annual lecture series, named to honour the momory of the late,great and beloved broadcaster Gay Byrne, whose anniversary is on the 4th of November.

The Keynote speaker will be Moya Doherty, former chair of our national broadcaster RTÉ, and the moderator will be Pat Kenny, the well-known broadcaster and journalist now of Newstalk, and who had succeeded Gay as host of the longest running chat show in the world, the Late Late Show. 

The theme to be addressed is Public Service Broadcasting: what it is, what it is for, and what is its future? 

The night will commence with a drinks reception at 18:30, and the lecture will begin at 19:15 sharp.

 

This is a free event but registration in advance is essential! Please register your details below and ensure you have given your full name (or the name of anyone you for whom you are registering) and email address. Failure to do so may result in not receiving your confirmation email or not being included on the admission list on the night of the event. Registration closes 24 hours before the event or when capacity has been reached.
