Watts was one of the contributors to presenter/producer and Star Wars superfan David Whiteley’s affectionate look at the British talent behind the Star Wars phenomenon.
An audience of more than 75, including two stormtroopers, enjoyed a screening of the original 60-minute version of The Galaxy Britain Built, winner of RTS East’s Best Factual Programme and Best Post-Production awards earlier this year.
Andrew Scott joins a returning cast which includes Olivia Colman (Godmother), Sian Clifford (Claire), Bill Paterson (Dad), Brett Gelman (Martin), Jenny Rainsford (Boo) and Hugh Skinner (Harry).
According to Executive Producer Lydia Hampson, Waller-Bridge began writing the new series in January this year, and the results, promises BBC Comedy boss Shane Allen, are “knockout”.
“I’d always seen it as a one-off,” she says. “It feels so fragile. I’d hate to ruin it, to extend it longer than it is, [but] I think I’ve found a way.”
Waller-Bridge was nominated in the Breakthrough category of the RTS Programme Awards 2017, alongside Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussain and documentary-maker Philip Wood, for her work on Fleabag.
The veteran journalist travels to Sin City, to meet some of its 1.3 million inhabitants, who bear witness to the glamour and violence the city is known for.

The telethon, which has been running since 1980, will air its appeal show on Friday 13 November from 7.30pm on BBC One.
Details about the Star Wars segment are scarce, but the BBC has said that the characters will join Davis and the three will "attempt to find a worthy winner to help trigger the first BBC Children in Need totaliser of the night."
