David Tennant to star in new ITV drama Litvinenko

Written by George Kay, the four-part drama will explore the death of former Russian Federal Security Services and KGB officer Alexander Litvinenko, who was found dead from polonium poisoning in November 2006. 

The murder led to one of the most dangerous and testing investigations in the history of the Metropolitan Police.  

The drama highlights the painstaking work of the Scotland Yard officers who dedicated ten years of their lives to discover who was responsible.

The Jules Verne adaptation features David Tennant as fearless explorer Phileas Fogg, Ibrahim Korma as the changeable Passepartout and Leonie Benesch as young journalist Abigail ‘Fix’ Fortescue. 

After getting involved in a ludicrous bet, Fogg and his valet Passepartout take on the challenge of circumnavigating the world in just 80 days.

They are soon joined by aspiring journalist Abigail Fix, who sees the adventure as a chance to write about the extraordinary story. 

Cast announced for Steven Moffat’s new drama Inside Man

David Tennant (Des), Dolly Wells (Dracula), and Lydia West (It’s A Sin) will all star in the four-part series, alongside leading man Stanley Tucci (Spotlight) in the titular role.

Directed by Paul McGuigan (Sherlock), the gripping miniseries will follow the unexpectedly interconnected lives of a prisoner on death row in the States, a Vicar in a quiet English town and a maths teacher trapped in a cellar.

The new series will once again follow Tennant and Sheen as they settle into their ‘new normal’ and navigate living with their increasingly agitated family in a world that now involves Zoom, face masks and social distancing.

The pair will also need to try to manage their ever-increasing fragile egos and try to stay relevant in a Hollywood that has now gone virtual.

Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg and Lucy Eaton are set to return, and they will be joined by new addition Ben Schwartz, who will play Tennant and Sheen’s American agent.

The six-part series is based on an original idea by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn, with the series written and directed by Evans.

Staged follows the cast of a play forced to halt their upcoming West End Production and sent home on furlough.

Classed as some of the best British actors of their generation, the cast try to keep up rehearsals at home during lockdown.

The series finds the comedy and challenges of creating a drama in lockdown both on and off stage.

The drama is based on the book Killing for Company by Brian Masters and will follow the arrest and trial of Nielsen – also known as the 'Muswell Hill Murderer' – in one of the most infamous cases in UK criminal history.

Written by Luke Neal and developed by Neal and Lewis Arnold, the drama will be told through the prism of three men, Nielsen, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay (Daniel Mays, Line of Duty) and biographer Brian Masters (Jason Watkins, The Crown).

The four-part series will follow the aftermath of the shocking murder of a seemingly perfect family at the hands of one of their trusted friends. The small Scottish town of Kirkdarroch is rocked by the incident, as mistrust and suspicion begin to run rife.

David Tennant (Broadchurch) plays Tom, a local GP and respected member of the community, who is married to local primary school teacher Kate, played by Anna Madeley (The Crown). Both lovingly care for their three young daughters.
