Series two dropped on Boxing Day last year, and saw the mysterious Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) murder Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan), the best friend of protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae, The Acolyte). Unbeknownst to Gi-hun, Front Man is Young-il, one of the players who Gi-hun counts on as a close ally.

Release date of Squid Game series two confirmed, with series three slated for 2025
