RTS Scotland Student Television Awards 2024

This exciting and prestigious event showcases the best Student Film and Television work being made in Scotland. 

Entries have been submitted from across the nation by undergraduates preparing to start in the industry. The ceremony is judged by industry professionals and provides noteworthy recognition of outstanding talent and originality.

Shetland: Behind The Credits

 

Join producers Silverprint Pictures with members of the production team and crew to hear first hand their roles and responsibilities. Come and learn about the numerous individuals that are required to power this drama machine. You might not realise your skills could be suited to the world of television. From Grips to Gaffers, Location Managers to Clapper Loaders, the team are on hand to answer your questions should you ever wish to work behind the camera in TV drama.

 

BREAK INTO SCRIPTWRITING

If you dream of penning episodes of Coronation Street or River City; or have your very own script masterpiece you think commissioners would fight over, then this is the event for you.  This RTS Scotland writer’s event is aimed at budding TV writers keen to break into the world of TV drama. 

You’re invited to meet a brilliant panel of writers, who have written for some of the top dramas of recent years, and will share their experience and words of wisdom at this special event.

Following the discussion, attendees will be invited to network with the panel over drinks.

Annual General Meeting of RTS Scotland

We invite all full-time committee members to gather via Zoom link for the RTS Scotland Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 25 January 2024, 1330-1430. 

This is an “Online Meeting” with remote attendance and participation in accordance with 5.6 and 7.2 of the Centre Rules. Remote attendance, questions and voting are restricted to Full Members only..
