After last year saw Liam and Millie beat fellow finalist couples Kaz and Tyler, Chloe and Toby, and Faye and Teddy to the £50,000 prize, a new batch of singletons are heading out to the stunning island of Majorca in the hopes of finding love in the villa. 

With Laura Whitmore returning to host, and her husband, comedian Iain Stirling, providing his hilarious commentary once more, here are the latest singletons taking part in this summer’s series of Love Island:

Name: Paige Thorne 

Age: 24

Hometown: Swansea 

Occupation: Paramedic

Having exhausted the Swansea dating scene, Thorne is ready to expand her horizons and look further afield, and Love Island is the perfect opportunity for that.

Thorne promises to bring positivity and high energy to the villa and sees herself as a maternal figure who likes looking after those who need it. 

She rates her cooking skills, with her speciality being a Sunday dinner. 

Having just come out of a relationship, she is ready to find a connection and misses being in love. She has been on a few dates but hasn’t found the spark with anyone.

Name: Dami Hope 

Age: 26

Hometown: Dublin 

Occupation: Senior microbiologist 

Hope is using 2022 as the year to open himself up to new experiences and put himself out there. 

He is looking forward to speaking to different girls and showing people his fun personality.

Hope doesn’t intend to cause trouble but understands sometimes it can’t be helped.

As an Aries, Hope sees himself as very passionate and in relationships he always put his partner first. He prides himself on working well in a team and looking after his partner. 

Name: Indiyah Polack 

Age: 23

Hometown: London 

Occupation: Hotel waitress 

Polack is at an age where she feels ready to date properly, having been single for quite a while. 

However, she recognises that dating for her generation isn’t easy with social media and is excited to enter Love Island where she can spend quality one-on-one time with people and build an authentic connection. 

Polack is ready to bring flavour and vibrancy into the villa and, being a down to earth person, she doesn’t think she’ll find it hard to make friends or find a lover.

When it comes to guys, though, she doesn’t have a type. Everyone she’s dated has been a different ‘type’ with little in common.

Name: Liam Llewellyn 

Age: 22

Hometown: Newport, South Wales 

Occupation: Master student 

Llewellyn is happy Love Island will let him meet lots of different people and find out what he really likes in a girl. 

He is ready to find someone he can grow with and, as someone who wears his heart on his sleeve, he finds it hard to hide how he feels. 

His friends and family would describe him as generous, happy, and bubbly.

Llewellyn likes to compliment girls in order to impress them, but doesn’t just use the standard lines, he likes to make them super personal.

Name: Tasha Ghouri 

Age: 23

Hometown: Thirsk 

Occupation: Model and dancer 

Ghouri describes her dating life as a shambles and hopes Love Island will bring her both a great summer and ‘the one’, so she has a partner she can travel with. 

As a party animal Ghouri loves a prosecco and a dance, with friends and family describing her as wild.

As Love Island’s first deaf contestant, Ghouri hopes to inspire a lot of people and is very open about her cochlear implant and experience. 

Ghouri doesn’t want to step on any toes, seeing herself as a girls’ girl, but recognises it is a dating show and she is ready to find her man. 

Name: Davide Sanclimenti 

Age: 27

Hometown: Rome, but lives in Manchester 

Occupation: Business owner 

Sanclimenti is ready to be the Italian stallion in the villa and thinks his Italian charm will help him find his soulmate who he can build a future with.

He is very romantic and finds that English girls love him, and he loves them, and he is ready to romance some of the girls in the villa.

At 27, Sanclimenti is ready to get serious with a girl and is always there to support them in their moment of need. 

Name: Gemma Owen 

Age: 19

Hometown: Chester 

Occupation: International dressage rider and business owner 

After her last dating experience didn’t work out, Owen is ready to have a fun summer and is open to finding love. 

She describes herself as fun, flirty and fiery, and prides herself on being honest and giving good advice.

Sport runs in her family, with Gemma’s dad being the professional footballer and Liverpool legend Michael Owen. Owen has competed for Great Britain in dressage since she was 11 years old, which has made her very competitive.

Owen always goes after what she wants, but she won’t get in the way of a couple with a genuine connection and wouldn’t do anything to a girl that she wouldn’t be happy being done to her.  

Name: Ikenna Ekwonna 

Age: 23

Hometown: Nottingham 

Occupation: Pharmaceutical sales 

Having only been in one relationship before, Ekwonna is at the age where he would like to find someone. 

A memorable dating experience for Ekwonna was when, at 19, he took his ex-girlfriend to Barcelona for four nights as a birthday surprise. 

He plans to bring spontaneity and excitement into the villa. He isn’t shy to speak to anyone and isn’t worried about what people think.

Occupation: Real estate agent 

Le Page is single and ready to mingle. Believing himself to be a good boyfriend he is ready to show his loyalty to a girl. 

One of his standout dating moments was when he took his then girlfriend on a surprise birthday trip to Paris. 

Name: Amber Beckford 

Age: 24

Hometown: London 

Occupation: Nanny 

Now feels like the right time for Beckford to enter the villa and she is ready to jump in with two feet and look for a boyfriend. 

She wants to add fun to the villa and make friends with the girls as well as the boys but can have strong opinions that may rub people up the wrong way. 

Boys that are flashy and show off give Beckford the ick and she likes guys who have a personality and can make her laugh. 

Name: Luca Bish 

Age: 23

Hometown: Brighton 

Occupation: Fishmonger 

Bish hopes to join the ranks of the lucky Love Island couples who have made it work on the outside. 

He came out of a four-year relationship a year ago and, although he enjoyed being in a relationship, he found himself drifting apart from his then girlfriend.

The best way to meet a girl, Bish thinks, is out and about rather than on dating apps, and if he likes a girl, he’s more than happy to ask her on a date.
