The categories include News, Factual, Comedy and Entertainment, Drama and Short Feature and News.
The nominees were announced at the RTS North West Awards 2019 launch party, sponsored by Audio Network.
The prestigious awards celebrate the best audiovisual work created by students, with an undergraduate and postgraduate winner both awarded in each category across Animation, Comedy & Entertainment, Drama, Factual, News and Short Form.
Awards will also be presented in the following categories at the judges’ discretion: Camerawork, Editing, Production Design, Sound and Writing.

The winners were announced at a prestigious ceremony held this evening at the London Hilton, Park Lane, and was hosted by political comedian Ahir Shah.
The Royal Television Society’s Scotland Centre, honored the winners of its 2019 Student Awards, sponsored by STV, at a glittering ceremony held at The Argyle Street Arches, Glasgow. The event was hosted by STV News entertainment reporter Laura Boyd and comedic double act Link & Lorne. As part of a new partnership we are delighted to have STV support the Scotland Student Awards by filming the event to broadcast edited highlights on the STV Player after the event.
Newsreader and television presenter Mary Nightingale presented the awards ceremony, which took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
The winners of this year's awards will be announced at on the 27th February at Leeds College of Music.
The awards are sponsored by Daisybeck Studios.
